Rocky Mount NC – Wells Fargo has once again renewed its support of the Carolinas Gateway Partnership for the next five years with a financial contribution of $50,000 presented to the organization’s Capital Campaign.
During a presentation held at the Carolinas Gateway Partnership offices in Rocky Mount recently, Tem Myers, Wells Fargo’s Market President in Rocky Mount, and Carrie Gray, Vice President and Community Affairs Officer for Wells Fargo’s Raleigh regional office, provided an over-sized check representing this donation to Frank Harrison, Chairman of the Partnership.
“During the past 20 years, the Carolinas Gateway Partnership has achieved measurable benefits for Edgecombe and Nash Counties. Over 78 companies have relocated to the Twin Counties, which generated 8,500 new jobs and over $1 billion investment in our area. This commitment by Wells Fargo is truly significant and critically important to our ability to continue being the engine for economic development for this region,” commented Harrison
“Over the last four years, Wells Fargo has donated $1.1 billion nationally to support communities and grow the local economies of the markets it serves,” said Myers. “We are delighted to continue our participation in the Carolinas Gateway Program again during this current capital campaign.”
Four additional annual contributions will be made by Wells Fargo to the Carolinas Gateway Partnership to support the economic development of Nash and Edgecombe Counties.
