Since its founding in 1967, Nash Community College has been providing an educational environment that meets students where they are and prepares them for successful and rewarding careers in a global and diverse society.
With a campus in Rocky Mount and classes online, the College serves 12,000 residents annually in its two-year degree, diploma, certificate, and continuing education programs. Nash has a focus on five core values: student success, teaching and learning, community, respect, and integrity.

The College’s Corporate and Customized Training Program enhances the growth of businesses, industries, and their employees by creating customized training designed to meet their needs. By keeping three key concepts in mind – job growth, technology investment, and productivity enhancement – Nash’s customized programs can take your business to the next level.
The College provides state-of-the-art classrooms, manufacturing suites, and laboratories. The Corporate and Customized Training program at Nash Community College can deliver training on the College’s 124-acre campus or at your company site in Nash County.

Workforce Training Commitment
From aseptic training to industrial systems, robotics, mechatronics, computer-integrated machining, leadership and many other types of customized offerings, Nash Community College provides training to meet the unique needs of employers in sectors including manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, civil service operations, customer support centers, life sciences, logistics and distribution, technology, among others, headquartered inside and outside of North Carolina.
The Customized Training Program supports economic development efforts of the state enhancing the growth potential of companies, increasing retention and preparing our workforce with essential skills. The College is currently providing training to BEFCO, Edwards, Rocky Mount Electric Motor, Cummins, Hubbell, Poppies, Freedom Industries, Pfizer and other employers.
While offering industry-specific training to those companies eligible for Customized Training such as OSHA-10, Lean 6 Sigma and Supervisory Workout Series to name a few, our Corporate Training Director has also worked with ApprenticeshipNC to register three Pre-Apprenticeship Programs that will offer specialized training, custom courses, and certifications to prepare future employees for local industries. Those Pre-Apprenticeships include our Advanced Manufacturing Pre-Apprenticeship, our existing Electric Line Academy (which has now been registered as an official Pre-Apprenticeship), and, a Pre-Apprenticeship through Steps4Growth with a focus on Electric Vehicles.

Advanced manufacturing is one of the top industries in North Carolina. Nash Community College is using innovative practices to train and prepare employees for the manufacturing workforce.
The Gene Haas Center for Advanced Manufacturing, a 16,000 square foot facility, is used as an academic and training space for students.
The Gene Haas Center is home to the Electrical Systems Technology, Computer-Integrated Machining, Electronics Engineering Technology, and Robotics programs of study.
